Authentic Leadership

What qualities are important to effective leadership? Where are your strengths and what do you want to develop. What is Leadership brand, what do you want associated with your leadership style? What behaviours are you role modelling to your team and how important is it be authentic and have integrity?

Ownership, Accountability & Responsibility

To improve productivity and effectiveness we need to understand who is accountable, who has responsibility? How does ownership improve productivity, what is it, and how do I take more, or encourage my team to take more? Are there blockers in the way, and how can they be overcome?

Appreciating Differences, Collaboration, Leverage & Synergy: We are all different, how do we collaborate across all of the wonderful differences to achieve more and deliver organisation objectives?

Absence Management: Why is it important to manage employee absence? What could it be an indication of. What is presenteeism? Why are return to work interviews important? Learn the facts behind managing absence aswell as the skills to have difficult conversations so you can improve the wellbeing of employees as well as the productivity of your team

Apprentice Starter Skills (new to the workplace): This short course covers all the basics to help those completely new to the workplace feel more confident and effective. Includes; effective communication (emails, meetings, remote meetings, managing yourself professionally), Time Management, Building Relationships, Building Confidence and speaking up, and Effective networking

Aligning to Strategy, Goal Setting & Objectives: Understanding the importance of strategy, why it is important everyone is aligned, understanding the challenges to alignment, disseminating information, goal setting and objectives to improve productivity.

Bias, Conscious & Unconscious, Privilege and Assumptions: Peeling back the layers to understand how our biases (those we are aware of, and not aware of) effect our decision making, why we have biases, and what we can do about it. Understand privilege, and how we can use our privileges to benefit others. Understanding the jumps our brains make to help us to survive, but how this can also be unhelpful when trying to understand, decide and lead.

Business Case Creation: What goes into creating a good Business Case? Understand importance of critical thinking, problem solving, creating options, evaluating options, risk of assumptions, return on investment, and success criteria

Belbin Team Profile: Learn about the different roles within a team, and where you and your team members strengths lie. Learn how to use the information to work together better as a team and play to each other strengths.

Building a Successful Team: What do you need to consider when bringing a team of people together? What are the stages of team formation and how do you create psychological safety within a team?

Building Confidence: What is it that holds you back from feeling confident? Explore situations where you feel confident, and where you don’t. Reflect on your own experiences, beliefs and values through some exercises, and learn strategies to help you build your confidence in accordance with your own goals

Communication Skills: Take a delve into the different listening techniques, why it is important, and practice REALLY listening. Learn and practice different questioning techniques. Understand the different levels of interference in communication that can effect what is understood, and what we can do to overcome them. Set yourself goals to improve your own effectiveness

Coaching Skills: Develop your listening and questioning skills to help others achieve their goals. Learn a coaching model (we tend to use GROW, but others can be incorporated) to help you coach. Practice in a safe environment with other delegates.

Conflict Management: How comfortable are you with conflict? Why is it important to manage conflict? How can conflict be useful? Learn models and tools, and reflect on your own style to set yourself goals to improve your confidence and effectiveness in dealing with conflict.

Curiosity, Critical Thinking & Decision Making: With so much information at our finger tips, and pressure to make fast decisions, how can we be sure that we are really considering all options and making the best decision? Learn more about the fast paced world we are living in, the importance of being curious, models of critical thinking. Then learn about different decision making methods to help you make the most effective decision.

Change Management: Change is constant, and yet despite us all being used to it, it effects us all in varying ways at different times, impacting business effectiveness and employee wellbeing. Learn models to help you successfully implement change, and how to take your people with you on the change journey.

Creating a Vision & Storytelling: Do you create a vision that inspires your people? Are you able to convey your vision in a way that people want to get on board with? Learn about visionary leadership, why it is important in the current landscape, and how to tell a story. Practice storytelling and set yourself development goals to improve your leadership

Compassion, Empathy, Vulnerability & Psychological Safety: Do you create an environment around you that facilitates your people to thrive? Are you approachable that your people will come to you with ideas, queries & concerns? Build on your skills to create an environment that will help your people thrive, and increase their wellbeing and productivity.

Conducting interviews: Learn theory, models and practice skills to conduct an unbiased interview, helping you get the most out of the candidate and help you make the right hire

Conducting investigations: Every now and then a complaint is raised internally that requires investigation. Learn the skills and methods to conduct an investigation well.

Complaints (Responding to employee complaints / grievance): Would you know what to do if one of your team raises an official complaint against the organisation, client or another employee? Understand the importance of dealing with a complaint well, and how you can deal with it appropriately.

Create a Thriving Culture: How can you create an environment where your employees thrive, new ideas are generated and productivity is improved? What are the building blocks that help create a thriving culture, and what do you and your staff need to develop to create this? Learn the building blocks, and make a plan on what you can do to take steps towards improving the culture in your organisation

Circle of Influence & Setting Boundaries: Two tools that can help you be more effective. Understand what they are, how can they help you, with some strategies and goal setting of how you can use them.

Delegation & Empowerment: Where are you on the delegation scale? Are you comfortable delegating, and how can you do it well? How can you build efficiencies in your team through empowerment, and how do you do that well? Learn the background, theories, and set yourself some goals on what you will do next to improve your effectiveness through delegation and empowerment.

Difficult Conversations: Build your confidence in having difficult conversations through learning the models, guided reflection on what could be your own personal barriers, practicing in a safe environment and setting yourself goals to help you feel more confident in having difficult conversations.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: How can you ensure that you are creating and contributing to an environment that is fully encompassing and addressing D,E&I? Learn and reflect what changes you could be making to help a culture that helps EVERYONE thrive

Discovery Insights: A personality profiling tool that will help you understand more about your natural preferences that suggest why you are comfortable working in certain ways with particular people, and how other situations may feel stressful and exhausting for you. Learn how you can spot other people’s preferences, and how you can adapt your behaviour to make better connections with other people. This course can be supplemented with full profile reports starting from Foundation, plus chapters in Management, Stress, Effective Selling, Personal Achievement, Interview.

DiSC: A personality profiling tool that will help you to understand more about yourself and others. Learn how your preferences impact your own behaviour and how we can adapt those to help our relationships with others.

Emotional Intelligence & Self Awareness: To help us be more effective working with others, we first need to understand ourselves. This course enables you to take the time to reflect on your own building blocks, on what makes you, you. Think about where your strengths lie in working with others, and whether there is room for development in the skills that make up emotional intelligence.

Effective one-to-ones: Use the time with your direct reports well so that you both get what you need out of it. Ensure your sessions are effective at suiting your own styles, and how you can both prepare to get the most out of it. How confident are you in having the difficult conversations, and providing feedback? And how open are you to receiving and inviting feedback.

Employee Relations: What is important to know when it comes to managing employees and their rights in the workplace? What are some of the key facts when it comes to tribunals? Understand more about this topic to build your confidence in managing people well.

Employee & Team Wellbeing: What do you need to consider when it comes to looking after the wellbeing of your team? What can you do to help improve wellbeing?

Giving Feedback: How confident are you when it comes to giving feedback? Why is it so important to do it well? Learn some models and theory behind giving feedback. Practice giving feedback in a safe environment, and set yourself some development goals to build your confidence.

Receiving Feedback: How well do you receive feedback? What are some of the blockers that prevent us from receiving feedback, and what can you do to overcome them? Use the guided self reflection to understand what goals you could set yourself so that you can receive feedback better, and facilitate your own professional and personal growth.

Growth Mindset: The way that we process information can sometimes be helpful, and sometimes unhelpful. Unlock your mindset to open up your opportunities to learn and develop. Use the course to reflect on which path you may tread, and learn strategies how you can change paths when you need to. Set yourself goals to help you grow.

Imposter Syndrome: Understand how Imposter Syndrome is effecting you, and where it may have come from. Learn some strategies of what you can do when you hear your Imposter voice being unhelpful, and set yourself some goals to try and keep your Imposter being helpful.

Motivation: Can you motivate your team? What do you need to consider? Learn some theories and strategies to help you improve motivation in your team

Making changes using Neuroscience: Our brains default to the easy path, and any change in behaviour requires our brain to create a new path. Understand some of the defaults, and why they exist, and strategies of what you can do to help make the changes you want to make.

Managing Performance: A fundamental management skill that not everyone learns to do well. Learn or build on your skills to be able to manage performance in your organisation with confidence, which will improve efficiencies, productivity and staff retention.

Mental Health First Aid: A recognised course that enables you to become a Mental Health First Aider in your organisation.

Myers Briggs Type Indicator: Learn your preferences to understand what drives your behaviour, and why you may feel uncomfortable in certain situations. Understand your strengths and where you may have blind spots.

Microsoft EXCEL Shortcuts you wish you knew: Learn the functionality that is available but the majority of us are not aware of, which can dramatically improve your productivity (and reduce your stress!)

Neurodiversity: With up to 40% of the workplace being neurodivergent how can you address the needs of people who may process information differently to you? Onboarding for Success: Give your new hires every chance of success in their new role by providing an effective onboarding experience. PROACT Methodology to help you reach your goals: Learn what each of the steps stand for and how they can help you change your own narrative and be more effective in the workplace.

Resilience: Learn the component parts to the tree of resilience, how our brain has a tendency to interfere, and the importance of recovery. Identify what you can do to improve your resilience to help you be more effective, and improve your wellbeing.

Recruitment Skills: Define your process from beginning to end to increase your effectiveness of hiring the right hire! Develop your recruitment skills and set goals to continue improving your effectiveness.

Managing a Remote or Hybrid Team: How can you transfer your management skills to multi modal? What do you need to develop to ensure your team are feeling connected, and psychologically safe to enable them to thrive?

Returning to work after Maternity Break: A break from work can leave us feeling less confident about returning. Post maternity there can also be new emotions and thoughts to process. Work through how we can be impacted, to focus on your strengths, appreciate you are not alone, learn strategies to help you feel more confident, and create a plan for yourself.

Strategy, Vision, Mission & Purpose: Why is it so important to know your organisation purpose, and create a strategy to deliver on the purpose? How do you cascade a vision so that the organisation is on board and aligned?

Situational Leadership: Learn about Daniel Goleman’s Situational Leadership. How they are different, and when each approach may be more suitable. Where do you naturally fall, and how can you switch between styles.

Sexual Harassment (Workers Protection Act): Learn about this new legislation and why it is important that everyone in your organisation is aware of it, and what you can do to help protect your employees.

Time Management: Learn some models to help you manage your time, and understand what are some of the blockers that stop you from being able to mange your time, and some strategies to overcome them.

Team objectives, Values, Identity & Team Charter: What is the purpose of your team? What do you represent? A course for a team to come together and work through and identify your strengths and values.
